Dr Zahed Ur Rahman has been assigned responsibility for two new ministries as part of a reshuffle of the Prime Minister's advisers. With the rank of State Minister, he will now oversee the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The Cabinet Division issued a notification regarding this on Sunday, March 15. Commenting on his new responsibilities, Dr Zahed said in a Facebook post, "Along with serving as the Prime Minister's Policy and Strategy Adviser, the Ministries of Information and Broadcasting and Cultural Affairs have been added to my portfolio. I seek everyone's prayers and cooperation." It is to be noted that Dr Zahed Ur Rahman first took charge as the Prime Minister's Policy and Strategy Adviser on February 24.

প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপদেষ্টাদের দপ্তর পুনর্বণ্টনের অংশ হিসেবে ডা. জাহেদ উর রহমানকে দুটি নতুন মন্ত্রণালয়ের দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। প্রতিমন্ত্রীর পদমর্যাদায় তিনি এখন থেকে তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয় এবং সংস্কৃতিবিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয় দেখবেন। রোববার (১৫ মার্চ) মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগ থেকে জারি করা প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। নতুন দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ প্রসঙ্গে ডা. জাহেদ সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যম ফেসবুকে বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পলিসি অ্যান্ড স্ট্র্যাটেজি উপদেষ্টা হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালনের পাশাপাশি আমার ওপরে তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয় এবং সংস্কৃতিবিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের দায়িত্ব সংযুক্ত হওয়ায় সবার দোয়া ও সহযোগিতা কামনা করছি। উল্লেখ্য, ডা. জাহেদ উর রহমান ২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি প্রথমবারের মতো প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পলিসি ও স্ট্র্যাটেজি বিষয়ক উপদেষ্টার দায়িত্ব নিয়েছিলেন।
