Students took a procession to Dhaka University Vice Chancellor's residence at midnight to protest the announcement of the hall unit Chhatra Dal committee. They demanded that the committees in the halls be suspended or the office bearers be expelled. They took a procession from Muhsin Hall to Master Da Suryasen Hall and then went around the campus to Raju sculpture at 12:30am on Saturday. Among them, students from Rokeya and Shamsun Nahar Hall broke the lock of the gate and joined the procession. Then they all took a position in front of the Vice Chancellor's residence. Earlier, students from Rokeya Hall, Sufia Kamal Hall, and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall submitted a memorandum to the hall provosts.

ছাত্রদলের হল শাখার কমিটি ঘোষণার প্রতিবাদে মধ্যরাতে মিছিল নিয়ে উপাচার্যের বাসভবনের সামনে অবস্থান নিয়েছেন শিক্ষার্থীরা।&nbsp; হলগুলোতে কমিটি স্থগিত অথবা পদপ্রাপ্তদের বহিষ্কারের দাবি জানিয়েছেন তারা। শুক্রবার রাত সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে মুহসীন হল থেকে মিছিল নিয়ে মাস্টার দা সূর্যসেন হল হয়ে ক্যাম্পাস ঘুরে রাজু ভাস্কর্যে যান তারা। এর মধ্যে রোকেয়া এবং শামসুন নাহার হলের ছাত্রীরা গেটের তালা ভেঙে মিছিলে যোগ দেন। এরপর সবাই মিলে উপাচার্যের বাসভবনের সামনে অবস্থান নেন। এর আগে রোকেয়া হল, সুফিয়া কামাল হল, শেখ ফজিলাতুন নেসা মুজিব হলে প্রাধ্যক্ষের কাছে স্মারকলিপি দিয়েছেন শিক্ষার্থীরা।
