DU metro station to remain closed for DUCSU elections

The Dhaka University Metro Rail station will remain closed temporarily during the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Sangsad elections.

According to a directive issued by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on Monday (September 8), the station will be closed from 4pm to 10pm on September 8 and remain shut for the entire day on September 9.

The notice was signed by DMTCL Manager (Administration) Rafiqul Haque.

The decision was taken following a request from the Dhaka University Estate Office to ensure passenger safety and maintain a fair election environment.

Authorities have advised commuters to plan their travel accordingly.
