Despite the weekly holiday, candidates contesting the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election continued their intensive campaigns for the fourth consecutive day on Friday.

While the campus remained relatively quiet in the morning, campaigning activities gained significant momentum following the Jumu'ah prayers. Aspirants for various posts were seen engaging with students across different dormitories, making pledges and sharing their visions.

Candidates actively interacted with voters, who in turn voiced their expectations and concerns. Campaigns throughout the halls saw a mix of dialogue, promises, and appeals for support.

Several candidates raised concerns over the absence of a level playing field in the election process. Some demanded an increase in the number of polling centers to ensure greater accessibility for voters. Others alleged facing cyberattacks, claiming that those resorting to such tactics were politically failing to gain support through democratic means.

In light of these concerns, candidates called on the Election Commission to ensure neutrality and transparency in conducting the polls. Many also welcomed the recent statement from the military regarding the DUCSU election, viewing it as a step toward maintaining order and fairness in the process.
