DUET opens admission applications for 2025–26 academic session

Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) has begun accepting applications for first-year BSc Engineering and Bachelor of Architecture programmes for the 2025–26 academic session.

The online application process started at 8:00am on Tuesday (May 12) and will continue until 3:00pm on June 22, according to a university admission notice.

Authorities said interested candidates can apply through the official admission portal. The application fee has been fixed at Tk 1,500, payable through bKash, Rocket or Agrani Bank’s mobile and internet banking services.

According to the eligibility criteria, applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens and must have secured at least 50 percent marks or a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 5.00 in SSC, Dakhil or equivalent examinations.

Candidates must also obtain at least 60 percent marks or a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 in Diploma-in-Engineering, Agriculture or Architecture examinations under the Technical Education Board.

Only students who passed their diploma examinations in 2024 or later will be eligible to sit for the admission test. However, the condition may be relaxed for teachers employed at government or autonomous institutions.

University sources said applicants seeking admission to the Mechanical, IPE and MME departments will be able to indicate their order of preference through a single application form. However, candidates wishing to apply for multiple faculties must submit separate applications for each unit.

DUET authorities also instructed employed applicants to apply through proper official permission.
