Earthquake again jolts Narsingdi

Two earthquakes were felt almost simultaneously in Dhaka’s Badda area and in Narsingdi on Saturday (22 November) evening, according to Tariful Newaz Kabir, meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

He said the first quake was felt in Badda with a magnitude of 3.7. Just one second later, a second quake of 4.3 magnitude struck Narsingdi.

Meteorologist Tariful Newaz added that detailed information regarding the epicentre of the second tremor has not yet been obtained. Initial reports confirm that the epicentre was within the Narsingdi region.

He further stated that additional information will be provided once the detailed analysis is completed.
