Education Minister lifted by jubilant MIST graduates during celebration night

A festive and unusual moment marked the Graduation Night 2026 of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) as graduating students celebrated by lifting Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan amid cheers and excitement.

The incident took place on Wednesday night (June 10) during the grand ceremony in Dhaka, where the Education Minister attended as the chief guest.

In his address at the programme, the Education Minister said the government is giving top priority to modernising and upgrading the country’s education system to make it more effective, technology-driven and future-oriented.

He said efforts are underway to reduce administrative complexities in the education sector and make the system more efficient and responsive.

Emphasising human capital development, he noted that skilled graduates, innovation and technological competence are essential for national progress. The government, he said, is working to build a prosperous and equitable Bangladesh by harnessing the potential of the country’s youth.
