After an extended break for Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, all educational institutions from primary to higher secondary levels will reopen on Sunday (March 29).

According to the Ministry of Education’s holiday schedule, schools were closed for over a month, combining Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, and summer vacations. The continuous break began on February 18 and lasted until March 25, followed by the Independence and National Day holiday on March 26 and the subsequent weekend, extending the overall holiday period.

Similarly, government and private secondary and lower secondary schools observed a total of 36 days of closure from February 19 to March 26, while primary schools were on break from March 8 until the reopening date.

Classes across all levels will resume simultaneously on Sunday.

To address learning gaps caused by the long break, the Directorate of Primary Education has introduced special measures in primary schools. Continuous classroom sessions will be held for 10 consecutive Saturdays after reopening, aiming to complete the scheduled curriculum on time.
