Emergency meeting of BNP Standing Committee tonight

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has suddenly called an emergency meeting of the party’s Standing Committee.

The meeting will be held on Monday, November 10, at 8:30 pm at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan. The matter has been confirmed by the party’s Standing Committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain.

Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said that the meeting has probably been called to discuss some urgent matter.

It is believed that the meeting has been convened to make key party decisions, including resolving internal differences over party nominations for the upcoming election, the July certificate issue, and the referendum, as well as to discuss the timeframe given by the interim government to political parties.
