Emotional scene as father cries in front of Ramisa’s empty desk

The entire country is stunned by the brutal murder of seven-year-old Ramisa in the capital's Pallavi after she was raped. However, the deepest grief seems to have descended on her family and classmates. Father Abdul Hannan Mollah broke down in tears after visiting the classroom filled with memories of his daughter.

Ramisa was a second-grade student at Popular Model School in Mirpur in the capital. Her father went to her classroom on Thursday morning (May 21). He could not control himself when he saw his classmates. He hugged the younger students and started crying profusely. The entire classroom broke down in tears.

The classmates also said in tearful voices, "Ramisa will never be forgotten." They demanded exemplary punishment for the killers and said, "The murderer should not be spared in any way."

When the video of that emotional moment in the classroom spread on social media, it shook people across the country. Many commented that such a brutal death of an innocent child has saddened the entire nation.

Meanwhile, the general public is fuming with anger over the Ramisa murder. Classmates, locals and people from different walks of life protested in front of Ramisa's house in Pallabi on Thursday morning. They demanded speedy trial and maximum punishment for the killers.

In another video that spread on social media, it can be seen that the angry crowd and students also took a stand in front of the Pallabi police station. At one stage, some of them entered the police station. They demanded speedy trial and hanging of the main accused Sohel Rana.

People from all walks of life have formed human chains and protest rallies in various parts of the country outside the capital to protest the rape and murder of child Ramisa.

In Ramisa's village home, Sherpur, the volunteer organization Ajker Tarunya also demanded the maximum punishment for the accused.

Police recovered Ramisa's headless body from under the bed of a flat in Pallabi, Mirpur, and later her severed head from the bathroom on Tuesday morning (May 19). A murder case was filed at Pallabi Police Station in this incident.

First, Swapna Akhter, the wife of the main accused Sohel Rana, was arrested. Later, the police arrested Sohel. Then, Sohel Rana confessed to the crime of raping and killing child Ramisa and gave a statement in court.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said that the investigation into Ramisa's murder will be completed soon and a charge sheet will be submitted. He said this at a press conference held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat on Thursday (May 21).

The Home Minister said, the police will complete the investigation and submit the charge sheet as soon as possible. After that, the responsibility of the justice department will be on us. We hope that exemplary punishment can be ensured within the shortest possible time.

He also said, the law enforcement agencies are continuing the campaign against professional criminals. Those who have been carrying out criminal activities by evading the eyes of the law for a long time are also being arrested.
