25 trainee ASPs served show-cause notice at Sardah police academy
25 trainee ASPs of the 40th BCS at the Sardah Police Academy in Rajshahi, have been served show-cause notice. They have been asked to submit a written response to the summons within the next three days.
They were summoned in an order signed by Superintendent of Police Tanvir Salehin Emon on behalf of the academy's principal on Sunday (December 15).
The order states that the accused started walking randomly instead of running on the afternoon of November 26 during the training. Because of them, others were not able to run properly. Although they were told to run, the 25 did not pay attention to it and spoke abusively. This disrupted the training program. Apart from this, they encouraged others to break discipline.
The order further states that such activities and behavior of yours are disobeying the lawful orders of the authorities, neglect of duty and against discipline, which amounts to misconduct. In view of your such activities and behavior, you have been directed to submit a written statement within three days of receiving the notice explaining the reason why action will not be taken against you to the higher authorities.
On Monday (December 16), AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter.
The closing parade of the training of Assistant Superintendents of Police (Trainees) of the 40th BCS (Police) batch on November 19 was postponed. At the same time, the closing parade of the training of the 40th cadet SIs has also been postponed.
