Bangladesh wants to strengthen relations with Bahrain
Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque has said that Bangladesh wants to strengthen bilateral relations with Bahrain and both sides have agreed on this.
The minister said this after a meeting with Abdur Rahman Mohammed Al Goud, ambassador of Bahrain to Dhaka, at the Secretariat on Wednesday (April 3).
The law minister said, "The Ambassador of Bahrain came to pay a courtesy call on me. He has come to present his credentials as an ambassador. He is meeting with various officials of the government.”
The minister said, "We talked about strengthening our friendly relations. Our discussion was very sincere. We have agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations.”
The minister said, "We have economic and commercial relations with Bahrain. More than two lakh Bangladeshis work in Bahrain. During the discussion with me, the ambassador told me that during Covid pandemic, the king of Bahrain did not differentiate between a Bahraini and a Bengali while providing vaccines. It clearly indicates that Bangladesh has a very friendly and brotherly relationship with Bahrain.”
He said, "We have agreed on taking forward our commercial, economic and social relations."
