BNP is enslaving foreign masters to come to power: Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader commented that BNP has become enslaved to foreign masters to come to power.
He said this after paying tribute at the grave of Sher Bangla AK Fazlul Haque marking the great leader’s 62nd death anniversary on Saturday (April 27) morning.
He said BNP does not consider the people as the main issue as it wants to gain power by slavery. Can slavery of foreign masters ensure power? Still, their predicament is how to go to power by enslaving foreign masters.
Observing that he does not consider BNP as a democratic party, he said, “There is no precedent for establishing democracy in their history. They have killed democracy, turned it into a farce. They never obeyed the democratic rules even within the party. When did they organise the party council last time? There was a central committee meeting 7-8 years ago at La Méridien.”
Obaidul Quader said, “National leader Sher-e-Bangla was one of the leaders who took politics to common people in this country. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman inspired the common people with the mantra of freedom. The farmers of rural Bengal will never forget Sher-e-Bangla. He will forever be remembered among them. He is still remembered for protecting the farmers from the tyranny of moneylenders by setting up the Debt Arbitration Board.”
Obaidul Quader also said, “Today our pledge is to form the non-communal Bangladesh of Bangabandhu, Suhrawardy, Maulana Bhasani, Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are fighting to build a humane and non-communal Bangladesh. That is the dream of Sher-ee- Bangla AK Fazlul Haque and that is our commitment today.”
