Chase-counter chase between DU, 7-college students

A chase and counter chase between Dhaka University and DU affiliated seven college students took place on Sunday night on the Dhaka University campus.

The chase and counter chase took place at 12midnight as the students of DU affiliated 7-college tried to enter into the DU campus through the Nilkhet area.

At one stage, Dhaka University students chased the students of the seven colleges and made them cross the Nilkhet intersection. The students of the seven colleges took positions in New Market and the surrounding areas. During this, students from both sides were seen throwing brick chips.

To control the situation, the police lobbed five-six sound grenades at the students of the seven colleges.

As of last news, the students of the seven colleges took positions at the Science Lab intersection and the university students took positions at the Nilkhet intersection around 1am.

Meanwhile, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has urged both sides not to engage in any conflict. The call was made in a post on the organization's verified Facebook page.
