Fire at Dhaka Shishu Hospital brought under control
A fire broke out in the cardiac ward of Dhaka Shishu Hospital in the capital’s Agargaon area on Friday afternoon, the fire service said.
It was not immediately known if there were any casualties.
Fire Service Duty Officer Lima Khanam confirmed the matter. She said, " The fire was brought under control around 2:39 pm on Friday (April 19). The fire originated in the cardiac ward on the fourth floor of the hospital."
On information, three firefighting units from Mohammadpur station rushed to the spot and were trying to bring the flames under control. Two more units from Siddique Bazar and Tejgaon stations also joined them.
