Gas supply will be suspended for 13 hours on Thursday in various areas of the capital due to pipeline relocation work for the construction of MRT Line-1 (Nadda) under Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited. According to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC, gas supply will remain off from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm on Thursday for consumers at Grameen Phone Headquarters, North-South University, Unique Hotel, US Embassy, Ananta Energy Resources, Pickle Power, Pragati CNG station, from Sahajatpur Kuril Biswa Road to Subastu Tower. Titas Gas stated that consumers in nearby areas may experience low gas pressure and expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience.

গ্যাস পাইপলাইন স্থানান্তরের কারণে বৃহস্পতিবার (২০ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রাজধানীর কয়েকটি এলাকায় ১৩ ঘণ্টা গ্যাস থাকবে না বলে জানিয়েছে তিতাস গ্যাস। বুধবার (১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি) এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানায় তারা। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়েছে ,ঢাকা ম্যাস ট্রানজিট কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের আওতাধীন এমআরটি লাইন-১ এর ভূগর্ভস্থ স্টেশনের (নদ্দা) এলাইনমেন্ট থেকে তিতাস গ্যাসের বিদ্যমান গ্যাস পাইপলাইন স্থানান্তরের কাজ করা হবে। পাইপলাইন স্থানান্তরের কারণে আজ সকাল ১০টা থেকে রাত ১১টা পর্যন্ত ঢাকার গ্রামীণফোন প্রধান কার্যালয়, নর্থ-সাউথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, ইউনিক হোটেল, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র দূতাবাস, অনন্ত এনার্জি রিসোর্স, পিনাকল পাওয়ার, প্রগতি সিএনজিসহ কুড়িল বিশ্বরোড থেকে শাহজাদপুর সুবাস্তু টাওয়ার পর্যন্ত এলাকায় গ্যাস সরবরাহ বন্ধ থাকবে। এছাড়াও এর আশেপাশের এলাকায় গ্যাসের স্বল্পচাপ থাকতে পারে। গ্রাহকদের সাময়িক এই অসুবিধার জন্য আন্তরিকভাবে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেছে তিতাস গ্যাস কর্তৃপক্ষ।
