Various programmes are being held on Dhaka University (DU) campus in support of the 'World Stop for Gaza' programme demanding an end to Israel's barbaric attacks on the Gaza Strip and the independence of Palestine.
In this context, students and the public have been protesting on DU campus since Monday (April 7) morning demanding an end to the massacre in Gaza. At that time, the protesters burned an effigy of Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu.
Students from various schools, colleges, medical colleges along with the public gathered at DU's TSC from 11am and started the protest. Later, a large number of students from different parts of the capital gathered at TSC and started shouting slogans in favour of Palestine.
During the protest, the students and the public called on everyone to unite and fight for the liberation of Palestine by boycotting Israeli products. They chanted various slogans including 'Naraye Takbir Allahu Akbar’, ‘Muslims of the world, unite, fight’, ‘one-two-three-four, Israel no more’, ‘from the river, to the sea Palestine will be free’, and ‘free-free Palestine'.
