Home Adviser conducts surprise inspection of police patrol operations at dawn

To enhance public safety and uphold law and order in the Dhaka metropolitan area, Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury carried out surprise inspections of police patrol operations early on Wednesday.

During the inspections, the adviser visited several critical locations and intersections where coordinated checkpoints had been established by the police and other law enforcement agencies.

He also toured multiple police stations across the city.

Setting off from his residence in DOHS, Baridhara, the adviser travelled through Banani Mor, Bijoy Sarani (near Novo Theatre), Manik Mia Avenue, Kalabagan and Eden College before reaching New Market Police Station.

From there, he proceeded to Shahbagh Mor, Matsya Bhaban, Moghbazar, Hatirjheel, Police Plaza and Gulshan Police Station.

Following his visit to Gulshan, he returned home via United Hospital, also inspecting some nearby alleyways along the way.

During his visits to the police stations and checkpoints, the adviser engaged with on-duty law enforcement personnel, providing them with essential directives.

He also directed security forces throughout the capital and the rest of the country to stay on high alert in ensuring law and order.
