Kuet VC, Pro-VC relieved of duties

The government has taken initiative to relieve the vice-chancellor and pro-vice-chancellor of their duties in a bid to resolve the ongoing crisis at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet).

A press release was issued in this regard by the information ministry early Thursday.

According to the release, a search committee will soon be formed to appoint new candidates to the two posts.

In the interim, to ensure the continuation of regular activities at the university, a senior professor will be temporarily assigned the responsibilities of the vice chancellor, it added.
