Land development tax collection period set from July 1 to June 30

Land Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda announced that the land development tax collection period will be set from July 1 to June 30, matching the fiscal year.

He made this statement while inaugurating Land Service Week 2024 as the chief guest at the BIAM Foundation Auditorium in the capital on Saturday (June 8).

The minister said, "There are over 64 million land ownership records available online. The Bangladesh Postal Department has delivered more than 800,000 khatians to citizens' addresses so far."

If a citizen applies from abroad by calling 09612316122, through the land service portal land.gov.bd, or via the 'e-Khatian' mobile app, they can have certified copies of Khatian and Mouza maps sent to their respective addresses in 192 countries.

The land minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a specific goal to build a smart Bangladesh. Under its overall guidance, the Ministry of Land is moving forward with the smart action plan of land management to ensure the best use of land and land-related people-friendly services in the country.
