"Main case of MP Anar's murder filed in India, investigation to take place there"
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal stated that the main case regarding the murder of MP Anwarul Azim Anar has been filed in India, where the main investigation will also be conducted. However, the Bangladesh government will fully cooperate with the investigation.
He shared this information with reporters on Saturday at the Dhaka University Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) Auditorium after the final phase of a competition organized by the Chhatra League for madrasa students.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal stated, "India has a prisoner exchange agreement with the United States, so India will conduct the main investigation of this murder. If this murder had occurred in our country, our police would have investigated the matter. If they involve us, we will assist them."
When asked about the escape of a person involved in MP Anar's murder, the Home Minister said, "One person has escaped to Nepal. However, it is not possible to determine his exact location. The investigation is ongoing, and all efforts are being made to bring him back."
