Microsoft eyes in creating AI experts in Bangladesh
Microsoft expressed interest in developing artificial intelligence (AI) experts and developers in Bangladesh. Additionally, the organization plans to provide technical support for international business capacity building and cybersecurity among domestic startups.
Microsoft's Managing Director for Bangladesh, Yousup Faruqu, delivered the message to Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology of Bangladesh, during a courtesy call at the Secretariat on Tuesday (June 11).
During the meeting, they exchanged views on various topics including startups on Microsoft Founders Programme, cyber security, creating a single platform for comprehensive data and AI.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, said, "The world is experiencing a revolutionary transformation through artificial intelligence (AI), which presents numerous challenges."
Palak emphasized the importance of realizing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision of a "Smart Bangladesh," stating that "It is crucial to overcome these technological challenges."
Palak, said, "Microsoft could play a significant role in developing cybersecurity experts and new technological tools to ensure cybersecurity across various sectors, including banking, telecommunications, and ICT."
He also highlighted that Microsoft could aid in the development of cybersecurity experts and the creation of new technology tools to ensure cybersecurity across all sectors, including banking, telecommunications, and ICT in the country.
He said, "Achieving the vision of a prosperous and advanced Smart Bangladesh by 2041, which includes smart citizens, a smart society, a smart economy, and a smart government, is unattainable without proper utilizing of AI."
