Monsoon air of rainy season entering through Teknaf
This time the monsoon season is likely to come earlier. Met office said that the early arrival of the South-West monsoon air, which hit the Teknaf coast on Thursday, is likely to spread across the country, indicating an early nationwide monsoon this year.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) came up with the remarks in their weather forecast on Thursday (May 30).
According to the BMD, day and night temperatures might dip in the northern regions but rise in other areas.
"Expect rain with gusty winds or thunderstorms in certain locations of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and in two areas each of Dhaka and Chittagong divisions over the next 24 hours. Elsewhere, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies," said the Banngladesh Meteorological Department.
"Apart from these, dayt and night temperatures are anticipated to stay nearly constant throughout the country," they added.
