The Bangladesh Police Service Association has strongly condemned and protested the controversial statement made by former police chief Benazir Ahmed recently.

This information was given in a protest letter signed by Additional IGP (CID) Matiur Rahman Sheikh, president of the Bangladesh Police Service Association's Ad Hoc Committee-2025, and General Secretary Dhaka District Police Superintendent Md. Anisuzzaman, on Saturday (February 8).

The protest letter states that a controversial statement made by former police chief Benazir Ahmed, who is accused of unlimited corruption and is absconding abroad, has been circulated on social media, which has come to the attention of the Police Service Association. Such a statement by this absconding officer, who was an obedient servant of the previous fascist government, has greatly angered all members working in the police force.

The police force is working relentlessly to establish a society without discrimination in the light of the beacon that thousands of people have set for building a new Bangladesh by sacrificing their lives in the mass uprising of the students and the public in 2024.
To that end, the members of the police force are working tirelessly to maintain law and order, investigate cases and implement the instructions of the current government in other operational work.

The police members could not accept such arrogant and unrealistic statements of this fugitive and corrupt officer in any way. Every police member is firmly determined to bring everyone involved in the genocide during the previous government to justice.
Every member of this force rejects with great hatred any communication with anyone who is subordinate to the fallen fascist government.

The Bangladesh Police Service Association strongly condemns and protests such statements.
