Professor Taiyebur Rahman becomes new dean of DU Social Science Faculty

Professor Taiyebur Rahman has been appointed as the acting dean of Dhaka University's Faculty of Social Sciences.

This information was revealed in a statement by the university's Public Relations Department on Sunday (February 9).

The statement said, "Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan appointed him on Tuesday (February 4) in accordance with Section 17(2) of the First Statute of the Dhaka University Order, 1973."

Professor Taiyebur Rahman of the Department of Development Studies has already taken charge as the acting dean, the statement added.
