Railways will refund ticket money

The running staff of Bangladesh Railways have started an indefinite strike from Monday (January 27) midnight demanding pension and gratuity with their mileage allowance, disrupting rail services all over the country.

In this context, Bangladesh Railways has said that it will refund money to the passengers who have already bought tickets, the railway authorities gave this information through a notification on Tuesday (January 28).

The notification said despite accepting the demands of the running staff of Bangladesh Railways to a large extent, they have not withdrawn their previously announced strike.

As a result, rail movement may be disrupted from today. If the train journey is canceled, the Bangladesh Railways will refund the ticket money purchased earlier, the notification added.
