Safak Hossain honored as cover artist of 100 books

Safak Hossain has been honored today as the cover artist of the 100th book at the Ekushey Book Fair as this event came to an end.

Like other years, one of the most renowned publishers "Palak Publishers" distributed the awards to young writers and associates on the last day of the book fair. This time, for the first time, awards are given for covers and illustrations. The awards were presented by water resources and climate expert and professor emeritus Dr. Ainun Nishat.

For the past 14 years, Safak Hossain has been involved in drawing new book covers at the book fair, and until 2025, he has drawn a total of 104 book covers in this book fair.

Moreover, he is also a young writer who has written a total of five books.

He said that some research-based books are being written for the upcoming book fair, which will benefit the motivation and skill development of the young society.

He is an academician in his career, teaching as a guest faculty at a private university, and he also writes columns in various newspapers.

In order to connect the new generation with the book fair, the renowned poet and writer Forkan Ahmed, the head of Palak Publishers, sees this initiative of encouraging the young generation not only to write books, but also to work as designers to stay connected as a positive thing.

For more than 35 years, his publication house has printed more than 50 lakh copies and published new books by about 5,000 authors.
