Suborna Mustafa sent back from Dhaka airport
Former Awami League MP and actor Suborna Mustafa was returned from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday (November 30) when she was leaving the country for Thailand.
It is learnt that Suborna was going to Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight. However, the immigration police at the airport did not allow her to leave the country.
Sources at the immigration police said she was not allowed to leave the country because of "some observations and objections" of an intelligence agency. However, the actor was not detained.
It may be mentioned that Suborna has been associated with Awami League politics for a long time. She expressed her willingness to become a member of parliament from the reserved seats of women after the Awami League formed the government winning the 11th Jatiya Sangsad election. Later, she became the Awami League MP from a reserve seat for woman. Suborna Mustafa served as Awami League MP from the reserved seat for woman-4 from 2019 to 2024.
