Tk29 lakh looted breaking chest of bank in Bogura
An amount of Tk 29 lakh has been looted breaking the chest of a sub-branch of IFIC Bank at Sadar upazila in Bogura.
The robbery took place at the sub-branch of IFIC Bank located in Matidali area of Bogura city on Wednesday (June 12) night, said Bogura Additional Superintendent of Police (General) Snigdha Akhtar on Thursday (June 13) afternoon.
According to the related sources, four people including the manager work in the sub-branch of the bank. The officials left the money in the bank chest. On Thursday morning, they went to the bank and saw that the chest was broken. Later the police was informed.
ASP Snigdha Akhtar said, “We came to the spot receiving information about the theft. There are CCTV cameras inside the bank. We are watching the footages. Bank officials told us that Tk 29 lakh kept in the chest was stolen.”
Earlier on January 26 this year, miscreants stole Tk 9.78 lakh from the vault of NRBC Bank at Pallimangal Haat in Bogura Sadar upazila.
