Dhaka University (DU) Rokeya Hall students held a torchlight procession demanding public execution of rapists. They took out a torchlight procession demanding women's safety and death penalty for rapists on the occasion of the International Women's Day at 7pm on Saturday. The students were seen chanting slogans like "Catch rapists one by onr, catch and slaughter them, rapists will not have a place in this Bengal", etc. The procession started from the main gate of Rokeya Hall, went around the VC premises and ended in front of the hall.

ধর্ষকের শাস্তি জনসম্মুখে মৃত্যুদন্ড কার্যকর করার দাবিতে মশাল মিছিল করেছে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (ঢাবি )রোকেয়া হলের শিক্ষার্থীরা। শনিবার (৮ মার্চ ) সন্ধ্যা সাতটায় নারী দিবস উপলক্ষে নারীর নিরাপত্তা ও ধর্ষকের শাস্তি মৃত্যুদন্ড দেওয়ার দাবি জানিয়ে মশাল মিছিল বের করেন তারা।এসয় একটা একটা ধর্ষক ধর, ধরে ধরে জবাই কর, ধর্ষকের ঠিকানা এই বাংলায় হবে না ইত্যাদি স্লোগান দিতে দেখা যায় শিক্ষার্থীদের। মিছিলটি রোকেয়া হলের মূল ফটক থেকে শুরু হয়ে ভিসি চত্বর ঘুরে আবার রোকেয়া হলের সামনে গিয়ে শেষ হয়।
