Traffic jams across the capital are a 'normal' occurrence on weekdays, but there are fewer vehicles on the roads on holidays. As a result, the main roads email empty. However, traffic jams were seen across the capital throughout the day on Friday (February 28).

People started coming from different parts of the country since morning, focusing on the debut of the new party 'Jatiya Nagorik Party' at Manik Mia Avenue. Due to this, traffic jams on the roads were noticeable.

Since morning, various types of vehicles including buses, pick-ups, motorcycles and others were seen parked at various points in the capital, including Mirpur, Farmgate, Mohakhali, Bijoy Smarani, Badda, Shahabagh and Karwan Bazar.

A newlywed couple who came to Hatirjheel from Mirpur said, they left the house thinking that there would be no traffic jam on Friday, but the scenario was different. Today's traffic was extremely heavy compared to other days.

At the intersection of Satrasta, a woman named Hasiba Afrin said, "I was going to Bashundhara to do some shopping, but I spent the whole day in the car." Regarding the traffic jam, Tejgaon Division Traffic Deputy Police Commissioner Rafiqul Islam said, "We have deployed additional traffic to keep the traffic moving on the road." Traffic was somewhat stagnant in the area around Manik Mia Avenue, but was normal in other places.
