Train services resume after 7 hours from Kamalapur
Train services have returned to normal from Kamalapur Railway Station after about 7 hours. Rail services resumed after students who blocked the railway tracks in Dhaka's Mohakhali demanding the conversion of Government Titumir College into an independent university announced the suspension of their programme.
Station Master Shahadat Hossain announced the departure of the train at 9:45 pm on Monday (February 3).
He said that the schedule of 16 trains has been delayed so far. "We will operate all the trains when the line is clear. The schedule has not been made yet. The schedule will be arranged when it is clear on the other side."
According to Airport Railway Station sources, the Egarsindhur Express train, which was stuck at the Airport Station, left for Dhaka Station at 9:50pm. The Noakhali-bound Coastal Express, which was stuck at Tejgaon Station, left for the Airport Station after 9:50pm.
