Exhibition at Russian House on International Journalists' Solidarity Day
The Russian House in Dhaka held various exhibitions on International Journalists' Solidarity Day. These exhibitions commemorated journalists who lost their lives in the fight for truth and justice in the history of journalism and expressed solidarity with journalists.
Two special exhibitions were organized on Tuesday (September 16) afternoon. The first was a memorial exhibition titled 'Those Who Died for the Truth', which commemorated those who lost their lives while doing journalism. The other was a photography exhibition of war correspondent Andrei Stenin. The moments captured by this brave Russian journalist on camera reveal the brutality of the battlefield as well as various aspects of humanity.
Representatives of the Russian House announced new opportunities for higher education in Russian universities for Bangladeshi students at the event. They presented detailed information about the country's government's scholarship program. The students learned directly from them about the application process and the process of building their future in Russian educational institutions.
Two documentaries were also screened at the event. The first, 'Beslan 2004–2024', reflects on the 2004 Beslan tragedy and the two decades that followed. The other, 'Russophobia: A History of Hatred', presents a different perspective and analysis of the negative attitudes towards Russia that have developed in the context of global politics.
