Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan announced that the family card programme will initially be rolled out in the Lama area of Bandarban. Speaking at the Secretariat on Sunday (February 22), he said the ministry will take strict action against violations of environmental laws in the region, including illegal resort constructions, which will be identified and addressed. The minister also stated that recruitment decisions within the ministry will be made swiftly, and officials have been instructed to monitor spending closely to reduce costs across various programs and activities.

বান্দরবনের লামা এলাকা থেকে ফ্যামিলি কার্ড কার্যক্রম শুরু করার প্রাথমিক সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। রোববার (২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি) দুপুরে সচিবালয়ে এ তথ্য জানান পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রাম বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী দীপেন দেওয়ান। মন্ত্রী বলেন, পরিবেশ আইন লঙ্ঘনের ঘটনায় পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রাম বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয় কঠোর অবস্থান নেবে। আইন অমান্য করে যেসব রিসোর্ট নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে, সেগুলো চিহ্নিত করে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। তিনি আরও জানান, মন্ত্রণালয়ে জনবল নিয়োগের বিষয়ে দ্রুত সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হবে। পাশাপাশি মন্ত্রণালয়ের বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠান ও কার্যক্রমে ব্যয় কমাতে সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাদের সজাগ থাকার নির্দেশ দেন তিনি।
