The 'Family Card' is set to be launched as a pilot project in the month of Ramadan before Eid.

This issue was discussed in a meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday (February 19). After the meeting, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo informed reporters about this.

The minister said that the issue of family card is mentioned in detail in the election manifesto. Today, there was a discussion on how it will be implemented. Today, a decision was made on whether family cards will be given.

When asked how many families will be given this card, he said that it is basically universal. There will be no restrictions on it. However, a committee has been formed to gradually bring the poor and middle class under this facility, starting from the very poor.

In response to the question of whether it is starting this Ramadan, the minister said that it will be launched as a pilot project before the Eid.

He said that our Prime Minister wants it to be started as a pilot project before Eid. That's all I know.

When asked about the CPB's statement that if the family card is not introduced in the next fiscal year, it will have a negative impact on the elections, he said, "It will be introduced, no doubt about it. We are just working on the mechanism or how to start the process."
