Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route suspended due to storm

All types of water transport on the Paturia-Daulatdia route have been suspended due to stormy winds. Ferry services on the waterway were temporarily suspended around 8:45 pm on Wednesday, March 18.

Md Salam Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of the commercial branch at the BIWTC Aricha office, confirmed the matter.

With ferry services suspended on the route due to adverse weather, people from the south-western region heading home for Eid have become stranded at the ghat area.

For this reason, ferry services have been temporarily suspended to avoid accidents on the water route. Once the stormy winds subside, ferry services will resume, and waiting vehicles and passengers will be transported according to serial order.
