Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route resumed at 9:45 pm on Wednesday, March 18, after being suspended for one hour due to adverse weather. The temporary suspension caused suffering for homebound passengers and vehicles during Eid. Ghat authorities said ferry services on the waterway were suspended from 8:45 pm as the Padma River became rough due to stormy winds. Seven ferries were stranded at the Daulatdia end during this time. BIWTC Daulatdia Ghat office Assistant General Manager Md Salahuddin said ferry services normalised from 9:45 pm as stormy winds on the river subsided. Currently, 17 ferries are operating on this route, transporting passengers and vehicles.

বৈরি আবহাওয়ার কারণে দৌলতদিয়া-পাটুরিয়া নৌরুটে এক ঘণ্টা ফেরি চলাচল বন্ধ থাকার পর বুধবার (১৮ মার্চ) রাত ৯টা ৪৫ মিনিটে পুনরায় স্বাভাবিক হয়েছে। সাময়িক বন্ধের কারণে ঈদে ঘরমুখো যাত্রী ও যানবাহন ভোগান্তির মুখে পড়ে। ঘাট কর্তৃপক্ষ জানায়, ঝোড়ো বাতাসে পদ্মা নদী উত্তাল হয়ে যাওয়ায় রাত ৮টা ৪৫ মিনিট থেকে নৌরুটে ফেরি চলাচল স্থগিত করা হয়। এ সময় দৌলতদিয়া প্রান্তে ৭টি ফেরি আটকা পড়ে। বিআইডব্লিউটিসি দৌলতদিয়া ঘাট কার্যালয়ের সহকারী মহাব্যবস্থাপক মো. সালাহউদ্দিন জানিয়েছেন, নদীতে ঝোড়ো বাতাস কমার কারণে রাত পৌনে ১০টা থেকে ফেরি চলাচল স্বাভাবিক হয়। বর্তমানে এই নৌরুটে ১৭টি ফেরি যাত্রী ও যানবাহন পরিবহন করছে।
