Final voter list to be published on May 14

Bangladesh’s Election Commission (EC) will officially publish the updated and final voter list on May 14.

EC Public Relations Director Md. Ruhul Amin Mallik confirmed the decision on Sunday (April 12).

According to the commission’s plan, citizens who applied for voter registration after November 24, 2025, and whose date of birth is on or before January 1, 2008, will be included in the updated list following verification. Only those who successfully completed registration by March 31 this year will be incorporated into the final roll to be published on May 14.

According to the schedule, a draft list will be published on April 20, allowing citizens to request corrections or changes, including transfer of voter areas, until May 3.

Authorities will review and dispose of all applications by May 6, after which the final list will be prepared and made publicly available on May 14.

Citizens will be required to submit correction or update requests directly to their respective upazila or thana election offices within the stipulated period.

Officials added that the updated list will include newly registered voters while removing the names of deceased individuals, ensuring a clean and verified voter database ahead of the next electoral cycle.
