Finance Minister Amir Khasru hospitalised

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has been hospitalised after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He is currently undergoing treatment at United Hospital in the capital.

Amir Khasru's personal assistant Md Selim confirmed the information on Sunday, March 1.

He said the minister was admitted to hospital on Saturday morning after contracting pneumonia, and his condition is improving.

Meanwhile, Finance Ministry Public Relations Officer Siraj Ud-Daula Khan said the minister has been hospitalised due to illness but could not provide details about the specific reason for admission.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury won the 13th National Parliamentary Election as a BNP-nominated candidate from the Chattogram-11 constituency. He was subsequently appointed minister for the Finance and Planning Ministry in the new government.
