Foreign Minister to visit China later this month

Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman is scheduled to visit Beijing later this month to bolster bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China.

During a courtesy meeting at the State Guest House Padma on Sunday (April 5), Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen discussed the visit’s agenda with the Foreign Minister.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs sources, the preliminary schedule for high-level discussions and mutual interest issues has been finalised.

Officials confirmed that Dr. Rahman will hold formal talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, focusing on trade, investment, infrastructure development, regional stability, and ongoing and potential future Chinese projects in Bangladesh.

A senior ministry official said preparations for the visit are underway, with the final dates expected to be set soon through diplomatic consultations.
