Formal charges filed against Hasina in enforced disappearance case
The prosecution has filed formal charges against 17 individuals, Sheikh Hasina, in a case related to enforced disappearances at the Joint Interrogation Cell (JIC), also known as “Aynaghar.”
The charges were submitted on Wednesday to the International Crimes Tribunal-1 by the prosecution team.
Major General (Retd.) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, defense advisor to Sheikh Hasina, has also been named as one of the accused. Prosecutor Gazi Manowar Hossain (M.H.) Tamim confirmed that there are five charges in total against the 17 individuals.
This marks the completion of investigations into three high-profile enforced disappearance incidents at Aynaghar, which have now been formally registered as cases.
