Former MP Ahsan murder case: Jubodal leader freed from jail after 22 years

Tongi labour leader Nurul Amin has been freed after long 22 years of imprisonment in the murder case of former Member of Parliament Ahsan Ullah Master. After being freed from Kashimpur Central Jail on Monday, his followers greeted and welcomed him with flowers at the main gate of the jail.

Nurul Amin is the former senior vice-president of Tongi Thana Jubodal. He has also performed the responsibility of former president of Tongi National Fan Sramik-Karmachari Union.

After being freed from jail, Nurul Amin said that he had been made an accused falsely and conspiratorially in the Ahsan Ullah Master murder case. He also alleged that he had been tortured for a long time in this case. Nurul Amin expressed the expectation that such an incident may not be repeated in future.

His relatives informed that a letter was sent to the concerned authorities for his release after 22 years of imprisonment in accordance with the provision of prisoner release under section 569 of the Jail Code. Later the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Law examined the matter. After that he was freed from jail on Monday.

After receiving the news of the release, his followers gathered at the main gate of Kashimpur Central Jail. They greeted him with flowers there.
