Four Biman officials transferred in morning, order stayed in afternoon

Although an order was issued on Thursday morning transferring four officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, including three directors, and giving additional charge, that order was stayed on the afternoon of the same day.

In the order issued on the morning of October 1, Director of Engineering and Material Management Division Air Commodore Md Manzur-e-Alam was transferred to the post of Director of Corporate Planning and Training Division, Director of Procurement and Logistics Support Division Md Rashedul Karim was transferred to the post of Director of Cargo Division, and Director of Corporate Planning and Training Division M Masudur Rahman was transferred to the post of Director of Procurement and Logistics Support Division.

Additionally, Chief Engineer of Engineering Services Division A R M Kaysar Zaman was given additional charge of Director of Engineering and Material Management Division, along with his current responsibilities, with administrative and financial powers.

The morning order stated these decisions would take effect immediately.

However, within a few hours, that order was stayed. In an order signed by Assistant Manager (Personnel) of the Administration and Human Resources Department of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Kazi Rajib Hossain, in the afternoon, the morning's order transferring and giving additional charge was stayed.

The specific reason for transferring four officials on the same day and later staying that order could not be known immediately.
