Four crude bombs exploded consecutively in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, on Monday morning, November 10. The explosions occurred around 7:00am—two in front of Ibn Sina Hospital and two near Midas Centre.

Assistant Commissioner of Dhanmondi Zone Shah Mostafa Tarikuzzaman said no casualties were reported in the incident. Police have collected evidence from the scene, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being analysed. “The incident is under investigation, and legal procedures are in progress,” he said.

Earlier at dawn, a crude bomb explosion took place in front of Grameen Bank’s head office in Mirpur. Around 7:30am, two more crude bombs were hurled inside and outside Progotona, an organisation run by Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter, in Mohammadpur. Both bombs exploded, though no one was injured.

Police said an investigation is underway to identify those involved in these explosions across the capital, and patrol activities have been intensified citywide.
