Four die with Measeles symptoms in 24 hours

Four people died with measeles symptoms in the past 24 hours, while 685 new suspected cases were identified, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The DGHS stated that between 8:00am on April 1 and 8:00am on April 2, the new patients were admitted to hospitals. Since March 15, a total of 3,709 suspected cases and 585 confirmed cholera cases have been reported, with 2,363 new hospital admissions and 1,930 patients discharged after recovery. The death toll stands at 13 confirmed and 27 suspected cases.

Recent cases have been reported in Nilphamari, Jhinaidah, Magura, Bhola, and Faridpur, including the death of a child.

Health experts have warned that the outbreak is ongoing and urged the public to strictly follow hygiene and safety measures.

Measeles, a highly contagious disease, spreads rapidly among people with weakened immunity or poor nutrition.

Authorities stress the importance of precautionary measures and prompt medical attention to prevent further fatalities.
