Four hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia
Four Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia. All the deaths were reported as natural, and all the deceased were male, according to the latest Hajj bulletin released on Monday (April 27).
The deaths occurred by Sunday (April 26), the bulletin confirmed.
According to official data, a total of 35,766 Bangladeshi pilgrims have so far arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year. Of them, 3,284 travelled under government arrangements.
The bulletin also said that 89 flights have operated so far in the Hajj season. Among them, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 38 flights, Saudi Airlines 33 flights, and Flynas 18 flights.
In terms of passenger transport, Biman carried 15,758 pilgrims, Saudi Airlines 12,469, and Flynas 7,549.
This year’s Hajj is scheduled to be held on May 26.
