Four more die with measles symptoms in 24 hours

Four people have died in the last 24 hours with suspected measles, while 86 have been confirmed with measles and 942 suspected cases have been reported during the same period, according to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services control room on Saturday, April 18.

Suspected measles cases in the last 24 hours numbered 942, bringing the total number of suspected cases from March 15 to April 18 to 22,409.

Confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours stood at 86, bringing the total confirmed cases from March 15 to April 18 to 3,278.

From March 15 to April 18, 14,522 patients with suspected measles have been hospitalised. During the same period, 11,751 have recovered and been discharged.

No confirmed measles deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed measles deaths from March 15 to April 18 stands at 35.

Four suspected measles deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total suspected measles deaths from March 15 to April 18 to 178.
