Four new textbooks approved for 4th and 6th grades in 2027

The National Curriculum Coordination Committee (NCCC) has approved four new textbooks for fourth-and sixth-grade students for the 2027 academic year, subject to necessary revisions.

The approved books are Bangladesh’s Culture and Sports for Class Four, and Learning with Happiness and My Technical Education for Class Six.

The books were approved at two separate meetings of the NCCC held at the International Mother Language Institute on Sunday. Education Minister and Minister for Primary and Mass Education Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon attended the meetings as the chief guest.

The meetings were chaired by Jasmine Nahar, secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. Also present were State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, the prime minister’s special assistant Gias Uddin, Chief Information Commissioner Dr Nahrin Islam Khan and the prime minister’s press secretary, Abu Abdullah M Saleh, along with other committee members.
