Free AI training in All 64 districts, trainees to get Tk 200 daily
The Department of Youth Development has launched a free two-month basic artificial intelligence training programme for young people across all 64 districts, with participants set to receive a daily allowance of Tk 200 for food and transportation.
The programme, organised under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is open to men and women aged 18 to 35. Applicants must have at least an HSC or equivalent qualification and basic knowledge of computers and information and communication technology. Candidates with stronger English skills will receive preference.
Training will run from October 1 to November 30, with no participation fee. Interested applicants must apply online by 11:59pm on September 23.
Candidates will first sit for a written test on September 26, followed by a viva on September 27. The final list of selected trainees is scheduled to be published on September 29.
The programme will be conducted through four training packages covering the country’s eight administrative divisions. Applicants will receive details of their examination centre and schedule by SMS.
The initiative aims to equip young people with foundational knowledge and practical skills in artificial intelligence, expanding access to emerging technology and improving their readiness for a rapidly changing job market.
