The government has revised the retail price of fuel oil in the country in line with the global market. According to the new decision, the price of octane has been increased to Tk140 per liter, diesel to Tk115 and petrol to Tk135. Kerosene price has also been revised to Tk130 per liter. The decision was announced in a government press release today (Saturday, April 18). The increased price will be effective from tomorrow (Sunday, April 19). As a result of this announcement, the price of diesel has increased by Tk15 per liter, octane price has increased by Tk20 per liter, kerosene Tk18 and the price of petrol has increased by Tk19 per liter. According to the previous prices, diesel was Tk100 per liter, octane Tk120, kerosene Tk112 and petrol Tk116.

বিশ্ববাজারের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে দেশে ভোক্তা পর্যায়ে জ্বালানি তেলের বিক্রয়মূল্য পুনর্নির্ধারণ করেছে সরকার। নতুন সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী, অকটেনের দাম বেড়ে প্রতি লিটার ১৪০ টাকা, ডিজেলের দাম ১১৫ এবং পেট্রোলের দাম ১৩৫ টাকা করা হয়েছে।এছাড়াও কেরোসিন ১৩০ টাকা লিটার পুনর্নির্ধারণ করা হয়। আজ (শনিবার, ১৮ এপ্রিল) এক সরকারি সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ সিদ্ধান্তের কথা জানানো হয়। বর্ধিত এ মূল্য আগামীকাল (রোববার, ১৯ এপ্রিল) থেকে কার্যকর হবে। এই ঘোষণার ফলে ডিজেলের দাম লিটার প্রতি বাড়ল ১৫ টাকা, অকটেনের দাম ২০ টাকা, কেরোসিন ১৮ টাকা এবং পেট্রোলের দাম লিটারে বাড়ল ১৯ টাকা। পূর্বের দাম অনুযায়ী ডিজেল ছিল ১০০ টাকা লিটার, অকটেন ১২০ টাকা, কেরোসিন ১১২ টাকা এবং পেট্রোল ১১৬ টাকা।
